TBI is superior to carb. It might be harder to modify, because of the computer. But it's better in absolutely every single other way. Carbs are for the track. Not the trail. Other than cost. It's cheaper to go pick up a manifold and carb (especially used) and swap that than redo the whole fuel system to support EFI.
